Mambo Santa

Anna had her first dance performance last week at the Family Christmas Show. She was very excited to do the Mambo Santa, but her favorite part was that she got to wear makeup! She did great job although there were some moments of just standing there looking at the crowd.

Jewelry giveaway

My cousin Angela makes the most beautiful jewelry and every month she does a giveaway. You can check it out by looking under my favorites-Angela Henrie jewelry. I am also suppose to tell why I am blessed or what I am thankful for! This past week I have felt so blessed with Tanner's surgery going so well! I could't have asked for a smoother day. I am also so thankful for the family and friends who prayed on his and our family's behalf. I am thankful for my three beautiful children who have great health and challenge me every day. I am thankful for my husband who loves me and does the dishes every night! I am thankful for my parents who have been great examples to me. I am thankful for my brothers and sisters. My sisters are my best friends! I wish they were closer. I am thankful for my friends, especially my neighbor friends who are always willing to help!
I feel like I could go on and on. Thanks Angela!

Eye Surgery

Tanner had strabismus surgery on both of his eyes this week. Which means his eyes are misaligned and the doctor went in and moved the muscles on the white part of his eyes. We have all been very nervous about the surgery but knew it needed to be done because he would lose depth perception if we didn't do it. There is only an 80% success rate for this surgery too. So far so good with Tanner-we will know better in a month if it worked!

The night before surgery Tanner's two best friends, who are brothers and their family brought Tanner a bear from build a bear with scrubs on and a special message for
Tanner. This bear was very comforting for Tanner and stayed with him the whole time. The nurse even put a hospital tag on him. I love Primary Children's Hospital- they really helped Tanner feel comfortable. He was even able to paint some wooden cars before his surgery. Tanner came out of the anesthesia really well. He was calm and just wanted the slurpee they had told him he would get after the surgery. The hardest thing for him has been wanting to itch his eyes and he isn't supposed to. Now it is just a waiting game to see if the surgery took!
I am also so thankful for all our family and friends who have kept him in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
