Mambo Santa

Anna had her first dance performance last week at the Family Christmas Show. She was very excited to do the Mambo Santa, but her favorite part was that she got to wear makeup! She did great job although there were some moments of just standing there looking at the crowd.

Jewelry giveaway

My cousin Angela makes the most beautiful jewelry and every month she does a giveaway. You can check it out by looking under my favorites-Angela Henrie jewelry. I am also suppose to tell why I am blessed or what I am thankful for! This past week I have felt so blessed with Tanner's surgery going so well! I could't have asked for a smoother day. I am also so thankful for the family and friends who prayed on his and our family's behalf. I am thankful for my three beautiful children who have great health and challenge me every day. I am thankful for my husband who loves me and does the dishes every night! I am thankful for my parents who have been great examples to me. I am thankful for my brothers and sisters. My sisters are my best friends! I wish they were closer. I am thankful for my friends, especially my neighbor friends who are always willing to help!
I feel like I could go on and on. Thanks Angela!

Eye Surgery

Tanner had strabismus surgery on both of his eyes this week. Which means his eyes are misaligned and the doctor went in and moved the muscles on the white part of his eyes. We have all been very nervous about the surgery but knew it needed to be done because he would lose depth perception if we didn't do it. There is only an 80% success rate for this surgery too. So far so good with Tanner-we will know better in a month if it worked!

The night before surgery Tanner's two best friends, who are brothers and their family brought Tanner a bear from build a bear with scrubs on and a special message for
Tanner. This bear was very comforting for Tanner and stayed with him the whole time. The nurse even put a hospital tag on him. I love Primary Children's Hospital- they really helped Tanner feel comfortable. He was even able to paint some wooden cars before his surgery. Tanner came out of the anesthesia really well. He was calm and just wanted the slurpee they had told him he would get after the surgery. The hardest thing for him has been wanting to itch his eyes and he isn't supposed to. Now it is just a waiting game to see if the surgery took!
I am also so thankful for all our family and friends who have kept him in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

Soccer

Tanner really enjoyed soccer this season. I think he finally has the hang of the game. He is rather aggressive and likes to get in there and get the ball. He scored 5 goals for the season! He was lots of fun to watch!

Happy Birthday, Carter

Carter is 1! The year went by so fast. Carter is a happy baby and lots of fun! The pictures are getting harder to take with George on the green chair. He doesn't like to hold still! The one below was the best I could get. Carter loved the M&M's on his cake.

Easter Fun

On Friday we colored Easter eggs with the Reids. The kids had lots of fun dying the eggs but then no one wanted to eat them! Tanner thought the white part of the egg was okay but the yellow was yucky!

The Easter egg hunt was a hit with the kiddos. They loved looking for the eggs. We are still missing one egg. The bunny did too good of a job hiding eggs! That will be a fun treat for later. Carter especially loved sucking on the wrappers of candy and he even managed to get a couple open.

Field of Dreams

Tanner's baseball team was able to be the Field of Dreams team at a BEES game yesterday. His team went down on the field and introduced themselves, their number and their position. Then they ran out to their position and the BEES player for that position met them. Tanner met 1st baseman Matt Brown. Then all the boys were able to go down and see the locker room and batting cages. Tanner had a great time!

Hanging out with his buddy!

Carter is almost 10 months

I thought I would post the pictures of Carter when he turned 9 months since he is almost 10 months. He is in the green chair with Curious George, which I do every month- it has just been awhile since I have posted pictures!

As you can see it is hard to get him to hold still and he likes to eat George!

Princess Anna

Anna went to her first birthday party! And it was a princess birthday party. Anna was very excited to dress up in her Cinderella dress for the party. At the party she had her nails painted-something she had never done before! She had a great time and come home with a goody bag that said Princess Anna!

Anna is 3!

Anna had her birthday at the first of this month. I can't believe she is already 3! She has a very bubbly personality and you never know what is going to come out of her mouth! The one thing that is always constant with her is her love for chocolate. Her only request for her birthday was a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting! And that is what she got!!!
